Our Philosophy

What should you look for in hiring an attorney?  Education?  Experience?  Effectiveness?  The answer, of course, is all of the above.  Add to the list, however, certain other qualities that are sometimes overlooked.  Equanimity, for instance.  A client under pressure should be able to rely on his attorney to maintain a sense of calm and objectivity.  This does not mean, however, that counsel must be emotionally disconnected.  Quite the contrary, a lawyer who lacks passion for the work is a mere mechanic.  At Finestein & Malloy we are not mechanics.  We care about the work and we care about our clients.  This sense of engagement is reflected in the way we handle matters, delivering high quality, client-centered representation at rates that are attractive compared to those of our larger competitors.
